Who needs to be abroad when there are clear blue skies and sunny days to be enjoyed at home? Today we packed a picnic and ventured over to Shugborough Hall and estate with Ann and Jon and the girls. There was so much to see and do and the grounds are really beautiful.
There was even a little train ride for the children (although I'm not sure the children were the only ones enjoying it!)
Inside there were lots of hands on things to do. The girls learned how to do laundry the way my grandmother would have done it. Even the smells were authentic, soapy laundry water here and a lovely aroma of baking and soup cooking in the kitchens. Highly recommended as a grand day out!
