A welcome home, a welcome to the family and a goodbye

Peter's mum and dad had been away for four months, as his dad had been preaching in Australia and Canada and so to mark their homecoming, I thought it would be nice to get the whole family together for a bbq. So in spite of the rain, we had a ginormous family gathering on Saturday and took the opportunity to get some family portraits. First of all with have my mil and fil with 14 of their 22 grandchildren:
And then in order of age, Peter's eldest sister Gill with her hubby Michael, Susanna, Lizzie and Naomi. Their eldest, Jonathan wasn't with us.
His second sister, Helen, was away on holiday but her two eldest, Laura (left) and Sarah (right) were here.
Next in line, Andrew, lives in Canada and so is also missing from the family pics. As well as being a welcome home party, it was welcome to the family for Tim and Marianne's baby, Pierre, whom some of us hadn't met before.
Peter is the middle child, so we're next:
Followed by Peter's little brother Stephen, with Derryth and Erin. Erin is a dainty little dot, who reminds me a lot of Annabel at her age.
Then we have Ann & Jonny with Hannah and Ella, all regular features on this blog!
Number eight is Judith, here with her Daniel.
And the baby of the family is Ally, here with Dave and their four scrumptious boys Oliver, Max, Charlie and baby Harry. They are about to leave us in three weeks, to go and live and work in Qatar for a couple of years (about which we are not happy because we will miss them so much!) That was one good reason to take lots of family photos.
As you can imagine, it was a busy, bubbly, noisy day and we loved it. :)
