Today has been a long day! The drive from Aberdeen was looooong! Lots of roadworks! Then we arrived at the b&b, the website for which had been seriously misleading. It was a horrible pebbledashed building in the middle of a gravel yard by a nasty looking pub. When I walked in I was first knocked out by the stench of stale cigarettes and then by the frightening appearance of the patrons, who appeared not to have a full set of teeth between them. Please don't think me "toothist" but it really was the perfect setting for something out of a horror film. I garbled something about looking for the loch and moved on, later cancelling by phone.
We drove to Loch Ness. In fact we drove all the way around Loch Ness. If you ever plan to do this, I would advise just to drive down one side and make it the A road side.
