Scenes of Skye

We breathed a big sigh of relief when we found our accommodation on Skye. Just a few minutes drive from Portree, it's up in the hills in a tranquil spot and our room is just perfect, with a lovely view too. The landlady made us a tray of tea and biscuits on arrival too. We settled in and then drove into Portree to get something to eat.
I am loving all the gaelic everywhere. I thought the post office was really cute.
Portree harbour is very pretty with it's ballamory-esque houses on the waterfront,
And we ate peanut chicken in a very nice cafe with a view over the water. I rather liked the sign behind Anni and would like one for my classroom please.
Some of the film Stardust was made here and so we were amused to see a boat bearing that name.
We have another day to explore the isle before moving on too :)
