On the road to Skye

The sun is shining down on us again and this made for spectacular views as we travelled the road to Skye. The views can only be described as breathtaking.

We looked at the mountains reflected in the water and wondered how anyone could doubt that this was God's handiwork. 

There were also many amusing sights and road signs. I particularly loved this petrol pump, where you have to ring the bell if you want to use it.

We stopped for lunch at Eilean Donan Castle, a beautiful place which is featured in one of our fave films Maid of Honour. (Sadly Patrick Dempsey was nowhere to be seen.) It was well worth a visit. We loved the reconstructed kitchen scene inside.

And from the castle, you could see the Isle of Skye in the distance. This last photo is one of Anni's which I loved.
