Hassloch Holiday Park is a theme park and the one constant on our itinerary. I am finding as the years advance, I am less comfortable with thrill rides but our German colleagues in their 20s were keen for me to join them and I couldn't be a party pooper, so I rode the worryingly named G-force roller coaster, the log flumes and the "free fall tower". You get in at the bottom, are taken up backwards to the top and then drop....all this way!
I am more comfortable wandering around the tacky little snow village and taking photos.
However, we all had fun. Little did I know that I would end up spending that night in hospital with one of my charges who had stomach cramps. No panic, all was well in the end.
