Sometimes you just need time out to chill with good friends. Today we went over to Derbyshire to spend the day with our lovely friends Phil & Liz. We've known Phil and Liz since our teenage years, since our days of Laura Ashley florals and big hair (the Laura Ashley florals only applying to Liz and me by the way). It was the most relaxing day I've had in aaaaaaaages. We met up at their church this morning and then spent the rest of the day chillaxing on their incredibly comfy reclining sofas. Liz is a lovely hostess who tells me I need a day off and plies me with magazines and chocolate cake.
Peter and Phil share a passion for music and always have a good belly laugh together.
It's always nice to see your children enjoying the company of your friends' children. Anni and Dani, Tom and Mike can go for months on end without seeing eachother and then just pick up where they left off. Usually the girls disappear upstairs for the entire day and today was no exception.
A real treat for me was having Sunday lunch made for me. I'm so relaxed now I'm horizontal. What a tonic!
