Pussycat, pussycat where have you been?

This is how Barthez rolled home today and no, he hadn't been for a daring new furstyle at Francescos! We found him on the doorstep when we returned from a shopping trip with my mother. We can only imagine where he has been and what he has been up to! I suppose he must have fallen in the brook or something. After he had eaten, he led Anni a merry dance while she chased him round the room with a soapy wet towel.

He was having none of it!

Eventually we caught him, and cleaned him the best we could with a wet towel and shampoo. (He went crazy at the very sound of the shower running so we didn't push it.) Now he's snuggling up in a dry towel with Anni. Crazy kitty!

Meanwhile, talking of crazy, our couch potato son Thomas, is on a walking expedition in the Welsh hills with our church's number one outdoorsy family, the Hortons. He texted me yesterday to tell me that he had just climbed two 3000 ft mountains and that the view was awesome. I am beyond impressed and very grateful to Joanna for making him so active. He did say that he was experiencing new realms of pain though. I texted back, in my inimitable motherly sympathetic way, "It's good for you, my little couch potato!" (as I lay in bed reading another book. Hee..heee!
