Peter was away for 2 nights this week and so it has been really nice to have a totally "family time" day today. The men slept practically most of the morning whilst Anni and I got up for her ballroom dancing class that didn't happen. I started to plan for work (doom!) and then after lunch we hit Manchester ( our home town). Gotta love Manchester! Tom is off on a school trip to Berlin for a week tomorrow and so we had a family meal out in Knutsford (almost) on the way home. Now it's time to help the boy pack. I am ashamed to say that in spite of the fact that I have been speaking German for 30 years and teaching it for 20 years I have never been to Berlin. That's something I really must rectify this year. This will be Tom's second visit to the capital but the first time he has stayed with a German family. Can't wait to hear about his adventures....
