Digging out some antiques

Having dug out my Spanish Abba album, I decided I would like to frame it as a work of art and rather fancy framing a few others. So I had a rootle tootle through Mum's LP cupboard and found my beloved Faraway Folk LP. (Yes they were for real!) Just look at those hairstyles, and the dresses! The Faraway Folk were a local Devon folk group and the highlight of my holidays when I was little was our annual evening concert with the Faraway Folk. I loved them so much that I had Barbies and Kens named after each of them. The guy on the right was my "Mod Hair Ken" with stick on felt beards and moustaches. My artistic brother, Paul even made me a set of cardboard instruments and microphones for them to perform with on the stage that was my toy box. I have to frame that one. Although I may have a battle on my hands to get them into the study and out of the craft room.

I also plan to frame this golden rarity ~ Frida from Abba, singing in Swedish. Don't understand much of it, but I do love it. I used to want to be her. I even owned two jumpsuits. The final antique in this post is absolutely not for framing. Something Tom was doing at Sunday night YP involved favourite teddy bears. Tom chose my old bear, Paddington Piglate (I couldn't spell Piglet at the time.) He was given to me by my brothers when I was born. When I was about 3 or 4, an alsatian ran up to me in the street where I was playing and grabbed him out of my hand and bit his head off. (Hence my terror of canine creatures, shared by Peter who had to have stitches in his bottom after having been bitten by a dog when he was 5.) Someone rescued him and my magical mummy gave him an emergency fur graft. It doesn't even remotely match his own fur (what little he has left) but it adds to his character. I don't remember if he lost his eyes at the same time. But I do know that he is 43 years old and a survivor!

a well loved teddy - you should read `This rabbit belongs to emily brown` by Cressida Cowell.
