Music to my ears

Just the other day a friend told me I was "weird...lovely, but weird". In this particular instance, I think it was because of my ridiculously well organised collection of photographs on cd with custom made cd covers, kept in chronological order. Another of my idiosyncrasies is my taste in music. It's not just that I know all the words to some random Johnny Mathis song about being the owner of the first house on the moon or any other song on Magic fm either. For my fourteenth birthday, my brother Rob took me out for a day I will never forget. He took me out for a fabulous lunch, then to John Menzies and told me to choose some LPs before taking me to the cinema and then out for dinner. (What a bro!) Two of the albums I chose were the Spanish Abba album pictured here and anm album by Frida of Abba, in Swedish.
Since technology has moved on, nobody I know possesses a record player and I am no longer able to listen to my beloved strange LPs. And you may mock, but the Spanish album on cd cost the princely sum of £50 last time I looked online. However the upside of the advancement of technology in the music department is that Tom wanted a better ipod for his birthday, with much more room for his music that makes my ears bleed. (One good reason i am thankful for ipods!) This meant that he kindly donated his cast off ipod to his dear mother. Ach Freude! Peter handed it to me with some comment about them never having to suffer listening to my drivel again.
So here I am, on a rare day with the house to myself discovering the joys of itunes. I have been able to purchase a similar album in Spanish (Abba Oro) at a bargain price along with a couple of my fave German songs by Herbert Grönemeyer and Münchener Freiheit. As I type I am listening to I Have A Dream in Spanish. It's beautiful.
Now I'm just debating what to do with the remainder of my blissful solitude...make cards or clean the house for small group....?

Don`t clean the house Lol. Speaking as one who knows! I`ve just got Dave`s LP collection out of the loft. We have nothing to play it on, but he is as passionate about it as ever.
