Someone asked me if I was okay as I hadn't blogged for a week. Well yes I am (just about) and here's what I've been up to. I've been working so hard that I've had to enlist Tom and Anni to help me with the making of resources. The pressure is on at work and we're all working ridiculously hard. Anni and Tom very kindly helped me to cut up some mini cards I was using for a lesson that was being observed for my annual review. There has certainly been more marking and planning than scrapbooking and cardmaking going on in that craft room.
On top of that I've had some tricky personnel issues to deal with. The downside of working so hard is that by the time I go to bed, my mind is whirring so much that I wake up every couple of hours.
Anyway, when I finally got to relax a bit this weekend, my thoughts turned to Christmas, slightly out of panic because some of my sisters-in-law have been super organised and have pretty much finished their Christmas shopping. Eeek! Last week I decided it was time for Christmas music in the car. Today I have brought some special friends out of hibernation...the felt snowmen. They were made for us by Peter's eldest sister, Gilly, who is very good at making things. They usually come out about now and stay with us until the first flowers of spring. This year they have a new place in the new hallway.
Now I just have to make a decision on making or buying Christmas cards. I don't like buying cards because I love making them for everyone but the way things are at the moment, I may have to cave this year.

Don't cave, your home made cards are fab. I'm also having the same debate, making thank you cards before Jessica arrived was fun, but things are a little different now!!
i had to cave last year and promiced myself that i would be super organsied this year - but i haven't started them yet again and i'm beginnig to look at cards thinking i'll buy them now before all the nice ones go - but next year i'm going to start in january!! i jusat wish there were more hours in the day, weeks and year - i just can't fit it all in.
Personally I am not particularly organised, especially at Christmas time. I wanted to give my friends and family cards that were personal this year and looked at various personal greeting card websites such as moonpig.com and customised and sent several cards direct. I would love to my make my own but I really do not have the time available at the moment.
