Resting our toes at Bryn-Y-Groes

This weekend we've been away for our 4th annual ladies' weekend at Bryn-Y-Groes in Bala, North Wales. It's such a tranquil place, it always takes a while to come down a few gears. Above you can see almost all of the gang who came with us, although Maggie is missing (I only just realised.) Our speaker this year was Angela Mills (centre) from Capernwray, who brought to us a whistle-stop tour of the book of Isaiah.

We always try to sit with different people at every meal time and it's a really good opportunity to get to know one another better. Sometimes you realise that you can see some people week after week and never really know much about them at all. I feel as though I've eaten enough this weekend to last me for the rest of the week!

In past years we've joined some of the more adventurous types on long walks. Now we have learned that all we really want to do is chill out in our favourite coffee shop, which, sadly, is up for sale. Hope it's still there next time!
