Tranquility and Industry

This week we have had some horrendous downpours and some very stupid pigeons. Twice in as many days the dim birds have flown smack into our kitchen window, leaving the above ghostly imprint. One, I think hobbled down the garden before falling victim to an eagle eyed Barthez.
Both the kids have been away on Christian youth camps all week; Tom under canvas in Wales, with only a river to wash in and Anni in the relative luxury of a private school, about 20 minutes from home. Anni doesn't do places where she can't plug in her straighteners! Consequently I have had a very peaceful and productive week. I've been able to have long candlelit baths, listening to Enrique serenading me in Spanish without anyone telling me I'm seriously sad. (Peter was away for a couple of nights too). Julie and I have made 90 wedding invitations (which I can't show you yet but will do when they've gone out). I've also done all those cleaning and tidying jobs I wanted to do and am now taking a mini break from tackling Tom's bedroom, as I need to recover from the discovery of this beautiful sandwich in a lunch box in his cupboard....

Just be thankful that my blog doesn't have smell technology! Yeuch! I shall be having words when he gets home.
It has been a lovely week and a taste of life with an empty nest. I miss my little lovelies a lot, but I'm definitely going to enjoy growing old with my Peter.

Those are totally gross, and Lol, as you`ve no one else to do it, you`re sad, but hey so am I. I`m making jam and listening to the football commentary on Radio 5. That is truly sad :)
