Farms, family and friends

As the stream of lovely visitors continues, yesterday I spent the day with my sils Dee and Marianne and my niece Erin and nephew Pierre. Having fared sumptuously on Dee's home made courgette and gruyere bake, made from home grown courgettes, we walked to the farm shop. Pierre was particularly delighted with this tractor and was definitely showing the typical male genes in our family as he happily steered and carefully fiddled with the gear stick. He didn't seem too sure about sharing the wheel with a woman driver either. It was one of those lovely days when there is no need to look at the time; a day of chilling, chatting and coffee (or redbush, but that would have spoiled the alliteration).
Today's visitors were the McPhails of Aberdeen, although my friend Katharine is actually English. Harry and Tom bonded over Horrible Histories this time, instead of fire as on their previous visit and Helena played with the Polly Pockets. Those Pollies have been played with so much lately. Yet again, it was lovely to catch up with golden olden friends and Katharine brought me these beautiful flowers, which I thought very blogworthy.
