Scenes of Split

This is picture postcard perfect Split Riva by day. It was helpful for me, being directionally dyslexic, to be staying near the tower, which could be seen from practically anywhere in Split. It was impossible to get lost.
The beaches were all stony, even the "sandy" ones. To be honest that didn't matter too much as we had beach mats and it saves the need for using talcum powder to remove the sand from your feet at the end of the day. (Ever tried that miracle solution?) The beaches were dotted with palm trees, cafes and an inordinate number of old men in speedos!
Every day we enjoyed blue skies and temperatures around 31 degrees.
