Slipping into middle age :)

A pathological loathing; that is the best way to describe Peter's feelings towards slippers. It is a real niggle for me that he insists on wearing his shoes around the house. In fact he has decreed that our house is a slipper-free zone. So you can imagine my amusement when he texted me to say that the physiotherapist says he needs some proper slippers. I texted him from town asking if he wanted suede, corduroy, felt or mock leather. His reply was, "You're in trouble." I went for suede. It made me chuckle all afternoon.
They had him standing up today. The first time, he fainted but the second time he managed it. The lovely surgeon came to see him and said that the discs he removed were horrible. Maybe we should ask for them and frame them.
So everything is looking good and apart from some discomfort from his scar, he's doing fine and is hoping to come home by about Tuesday. No more long journeys to Warrington and back then. :)

Glad Pete is doing ok, and I`m afraid I`m with him on slippers. I hate them and have never owned a pair except for hospital trips.
It`s amazing what they can do with operations and recovery from them these days. Tuesday ain`t so long.........A few more Lush baths for you between now and then x
