Today the weather has been most inclement. I tried to capture the rain sheeting down onto the trampoline.
I'd been rather busy yesterday having a cleaning frenzy to make the house fit for Tom's German friend Claudio coming to stay on Monday. I was trying to make my house German clean, which involved cleaning the cooker and the inside of the fridge and all the nooks and crannies. Then we were out for a lovely dinner at Simon and Lyn's and were home late. So I lay down to rest this afternoon, thinking I would just lie there and not sleep, the next thing I knew I had slept for two whole hours. I'm getting old!
Whilst driving to church this morning I was listening to my Jackie CD, it was on the track I'd like to teach the world to sing by the New Seekers. When Tom got out of the car he had a strange, disturbed expression on his face. "What's that face for?" I asked. You know when someone has experienced something they should never, ever have to experience? "Yes." Well this is what their face would look like. I think he was saying that noone should ever, ever have to experience my music taste. How rude!
