Last night Peter and I went to see Kylie at the M.E.N. This picture shows how near the stage we were. It's not often that we go to a gig together as our music taste is rather different. But Peter had got to know her guitarist (middle right below) and he had given us the tickets. We went into Manchester and met up with him for coffee; such a lovely, lovely guy. It was really cool having met him to see him perform on stage and he was amazing.
The show was absolutely fantastic, the best I have ever seen in my life. There were so many set and costume changes you would have thought it impossible. Kylie herself gave a legendary performance and the whole thing lasted about three hours, with just a 15 minute interval and no warm up act. My photos are really pants because our compact camera is kaputt and I didn't feel I could take my SLR in, so I had to rely on my phone. But you can just about make out the pop princess as she first descended on to the stage. We had a really fabulous time. It was a treat to be at the same gig together and have dinner together.
I'm off to another concert on Thursday, to see Kate Rusby, sadly Peter won't be persuaded to join me for that one.

I was there last night and yeah I totally agree it was an amazing show! You looked like you were in the side block right? I was just below on the floor seats. I have a few decent shots. When I get chance I'll upload them.
