The Feelgood Factor

I've just been to see Mamma Mia with my Mum and Anni and what a treat it was! The local cinema was fully booked all evening so we had to go to Newcastle and I only got in there because I booked early this morning. All I can say is that I take a lot of abuse for my taste in music, but how many other people can say that their favourite band has a musical written around their songs which is still packing out cinemas a wek after its release? And I don't think I have ever known a movie to get a round of applause at the end before either!
It's so toe tappingly, hand clappingly brilliant. (And it has Colin Firth and Pierce Brosnan!) Annabel's restraining arm appeared in the closing credits, to prevent me from dancing. (The same one she uses in the supermarket!) Why should I be restrained? Meryl Streep's "daughter" didn't have a problem with her singing and dancing! I think life should be a musical. This photo from the movie illustrates how we'd all behave in my ideal world.
I can definitely feel an Abba party coming on. I wonder when Peter's next away?......
More music for me tomorrow...I'm off to see Kate Rusby. I'm not normally such a social butterfly, but hey...it's the last week of term.
