After seeing Mamma Mia, I said I felt an Abba evening coming on...so when Peter said he was going to be away for a couple of days, I seized the opportunity to have some friends round and play Abba music unashamedly all evening. We also unashamedly ate desserts and for a decent picture of the pièce de résistance, the ABBALOVA go here. It was truly scrumptious. I began the evening with a quiz, but soon realised that I was far too much of an Abba geek, so I left a lot of the questions out and moved swiftly on to dessert. After which came much merriment and dancing.
Annabel tried to pin my arms by my side but there was no stopping me. This is mine and Abi's interpretation of Dancing Queen.
It was a lovely summer evening and some decided to take in the fresh air out on the deck.
Some had special thrones for this purpose.
All in all it was a fun excuse to spend an evening with friends. Tom fled to his room in terror at the very mention of Abba music, but was lured down momentarily for some baked american cheesecake. I think I'll be eating dessert for breakfast for the next couple of days.
