Concert en plein air

As well as probably being the only wife in the cosmos who gets told off for cleaning the house too much (well I do have a tendency to mop floors at midnight) I am also told that I don't go out enough. Well this week sure has put paid to that theory. YP on Friday, Kylie on Saturday, church on Sunday, barbecue on Monday (ok technically not out but socialising nontheless), meal out with work friends on Tuesday, Mammia Mia on Wednesday and then last night I went with my mother to see Kate Rusby in concert. It was an interesting experience. Most of the people there were clealry seasoned outdoor concert goers. You know the types, with foldaway gazebos and a full set of portable garden furniture and picnics to better some wedding receptions. I was gutted that there was a ban on photographs during the performance. I had to take something for my blog, so I chose the empty stage and these: The people in front of me we sporting the most incredible hats. This one was like a stripey woollen version of Wee Willie Winkie's cap:

And then there was this one:
It was a really good concert. I was sad though that it clashed with the end of the reading year book club barbecue.
