The Emerald Isle: Day Four~ Malin Head to Teapot Lane

Malin Head was beautiful. One of the reasons I chose to stay here was that it featured in one of my very favourite books, The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve. This was where the plane crashed in the book and the main character goes to Malin Head to see the site.
We drove down the very steep hill to the beach and took it in for a while. Then we hit the road again. By now we had given up on the sat nav and were relying on the map and Anni's infinitely superior navigational skills. 100 miles later, we arrived at Teapot Lane, where we would be glamping in this vintage caravan.
It was very snug and cosy (and small) and surprisingly comfortable. The site was cute too but it was no Jollydays or Dandelion Hideaway. There were lots of children running around (and playing a drum) until after 10pm and one of them came and peered right into our window, which made me jump. The facilities were a short walk across the site and we were quite taken aback by the eco toilet, which was a nice seat over a nasty pit.
The communal kitchen was cute and kooky.
We were exhausted after the distance we had travelled over the past couple of days, so out came the kindles and the pjs.
