Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on

This was the breakfast room at Dolphin Beach House. What a fantastic backdrop for breakfast!
We tucked into Clodagh's pancakes with maple syrup and enjoyed the view.
We needed fortifying because today's journey was a total of 200 miles. We had a date for afternoon tea at Father Ted's house.
Father Ted's house is not really on Craggy Island after all. It is in the Burren national park in County Clare, opposite Mount Mullaghmore, in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, the owner gave really good directions and we found it without a wrong turn. We arrived in a lull between coachloads on official tours and had a nice, quiet tea and a chat with the owners. Basically, they have just turned their own home into a tourist attraction and serve copious amounts of cake to people who want to visit the home of Father Ted and Father Dougal.
We wondered if this might have been Father Jack's chair?
This definitely was the fireplace featured in the tv show, so here we are, sitting in front of Father Ted's fireplace.
Here we are at the front door.
From here we motored on to Killarney, where we checked into a B&B called Sika Lodge. The owbers were fantasic and gave us lots of recommendations for places to eat and things to do. A huge bonus was the fact that we were here for two nights and wouldn't have to drive anywhere.
We walked into town and ate at a place called the Smoke House. It was incredibly funky and the food was out of this world. Even Anni nearly cleared her plate. We were sad not to have had room for dessert and decided we would return the following night and just have a starter and dessert.
