Twas the night before Christmas...

I love Christmas because I love everyone being on holiday and having the opportunity to spend quality time with the family.

Peter has two whole weeks off and hasn't had such a long break for over 6 years. Because of his back pain, we haven't overplanned our time this Christmas. Today we mooched over to the local pub restaurant for a rather impromptu family dinner with Peter's mum and dad, his Aunty P, his sisters Helen, Ann and Judith, Ann and Judith's other halves Jon and Dan and our nieces Laura, Hannah and Ella. Just 14 of a possible 42 of us! Anni had a pre-arranged get together at her friend's house.

It's always good to get together and we'll be doing much more of it over the next week or so.

More of the family will be coming up at the weekend. Love it, love it, love it.

Then Rob, Kath and Lily will be bringing Mum home from her London Christmas at the weekend. Meanwhile, I am very excited about these prezzies under the tree as I don't have a single clue what any of them are...
