Shall we dance...?

Last year we had booked a ceilidh for the YP Christmas party, but they had double booked and we had to have a last minute change of plan. (Boo hoo!) So this year we tried again and succeeded. The YP group dynamics are very different this year and with a good number of the older ones gone and some of the remaining older YP not there tonight, I wondered how well it would go down with the younger group we now have. Thankfully, they seemed to love it. It was great to see Isaac throwing himself right into it. I think his grin in the above picture says it all. Before long, he was telling Rebecca how to do the right moves!

The girls were clearly having a ball. My poor Anni was stuck at home in bed with a really bad cold. I had sent her to school on Thursday under protest. My philosophy is that if they are that ill, they'll be sent home, so unless they are throwing up, I send them in. Poor Anni came home as white as a sheet and hardly able to talk, so I kept her home today and Mum came to look after her.

It was fun to watch them getting into the swing of things! I love events like this that really get them to mix across the age groups. I love to see them smiling and having fun. We have a break until the new year now, as next week the church will be being prepared for Ben and Katherine's wedding.

Meanwhile I'll be planning the review of the year quiz for the new year's quiz night.
