In spite of Anni and me being full of a rotten cold, we had a lovely visit to Ann and Jon's over the weekend. We went over in time for X factor final night. When we arrived, Hannah (normally the angelic one of Ann and Jon's two children) was in disgrace. She has written her name, most beautifully, in permanent black ink on the carpet in the hallway. We decided this wooden sign was most appropriate for her to be photographed with. "But I don't know what it says..." she said, in a swet little plaintive voice. She seemed to have learned her lesson, until deciding to write a name on the outer cover of her mum's Bible. Cleverly though, she wrote her sister's name this time!
It reminded me of when Tom was about 3 and his Grandma and Grandad bought him a screen that you drew on with particularly oily wax crayons. He decided that the best place to try them out was on Grandad Norman's best suit trousers. My brother Paul went one better though. Whenever Dad told him off, he would respond by going off and drawing caricatures of Dad on his wallpaper, complete with horns and a three pronged fork! His exercise books were covered with similar caricatures of his least favourite teachers. The thing was the drawings were brilliant. He now lectures in Art. So maybe this is just a prelude to Hannah becoming the next Banksy.
You would think butter wouldn't melt to see them her here as Snow White with her dear little sister, Cinderella! And talking of sisters and appropriate wooden signs, here's Peter with his dear little sister...

Love it.
My favourite was when Isaac drew on the wall in the hallway and then wrote `sorry` underneath on the wall.
Somehow that didn`t make it better :)
