And so this is Christmas

And so this is Christmas! We had thought our days of being rudely awoken at unearthly hours were well and truly over. How wrong we were! Tom and Anni burst in at 7.00am and when we failed to leap out of bed enthusiastically, they proceeded to jump up and down on the bed, before removing our lovely, toasty new duvet and leaving us with no option but to get up and embrace Christmas day 2008. Anni has only ever got up on Christmas morning once before without being woken by someone else. I think she was motivated by the knowledge that there was a new phone under the tree for her and Tom was eager to see if Santa has brought him a ukelele.

Santa did not disappoint. Annabel commented that they would benefit from my present to Peter and his present to me. Mine means that he will be clean shaven and his to me means we will never get lost in the car again because of my "Grant" sense of direction. Peter made Christmas dinner. All I had to do was set the table and make the gravy. Such a treat!

Whilst I did the washing up, my little family transformed themselves into rock stars on Guitar Hero World Tour. It has been a very relaxing day, with us only having ventured outdoors for church this morning. We are all very chillaxed. So here's wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, God bless us everyone !

Happy boxing day - looks like World Tour was a success. We enjoy playing Rockband - Kristen even got me some drumsticks and lessons for Christmas (not sure if that is because i'm so bad or because she sees the potential ;-)
