A picnic, cute creatures and a bearded man

I haven't blogged for a whole week, which is most unusual. Peter has been off all week and we've just been pottering around. Frankly, the men in the household have been doing a lot of sleeping too. In fact Tom was awake in these photographs, although he doesn't appear to be! Today we got out and about and had a picnic by the canal near where I work. Tom and Anni inadvertently "matched" in their red tops which left Tom most unimpressed.

Peter is cultivating a holiday beard. We women in his life do not approve. Anni says if he sat in a doorway, people would give him money.

After our picnic we went to a local garden centre which has lots of interesting creatures, such as these cute tamarin monkeys and meerkats. This one was a real poser:

This visit prompted Tom to ask if he could have a gecko for Christmas. After he had presented a case worthy of the best of lawyers, I asked the killer question, "And where would you keep the smelly creature?"
In my room, which already stinks to high heaven anyway.
Can't argue with that.
