It's a marshmallow world in the winter

I'm thankful for the snow. I'm thankful because it makes everything look so pretty and I'm thankful for all the fun it has given us; unexpected pleasures such as trampoling in the snow and not least the lovely gifts of a day off yesterday and a cancelled parents' evening tonight. Understandbly so, since they are saying that temperatures in Cheshire will fall as low as 20 degrees tonight ~ as low as Moscow! It certainly felt that cold as I sat in my craft room, with the heating on full, huddled in a blanket, marking my GCSE mock papers. I even put the tumble dryer on for extra heat. I don't usually like the noise of the tumble dryer whilst I'm working; I'm not like my teenagers, who actually seem to need noise to be able to work.

Peter, Tom, Angela and Anni made a snowman. His name is Beg Jez and he supports Man Utd. My cousin suggested he should have been called Alex because of the colour of his nose!

Anni went on to discover a new talent; snow sculpting. She crafted a cute little snow bear, with peas for eyes and she named him Fluffles. The only downside is that once you've been granted an unexpected day off, waking up to find that school is actually open is a bitter disappointment.
