Spot the ball

I love it when people drop in. Yesterday invited a lot of people for lunch and ended up with even more in the garden. That's just how we like it. It was a lovely afternoon. Thought of submitting this for a "spot-the-ball" competition. (No, not the one at Josh's feet). I love summer days, I feel as if we gain an extra room.
Must stop baking so much though, can feel my waistbands tightening!
It was back to earth with a bump today. One of my 12 year-old pupils died suddenly on Friday. I taught a class with her empty chair this morning. By the afternoon, her name had gone from the electronic register. That's a horrible experience and one I've never been through before. It made every child matter so much more to me today. Now I'm off to book club to discuss a book about someone who died of a motor neurone disease. Cheery day!

Thats sad about the kid in your class -must have been a horrible feeling.

In brighter news, trust Simon to hog the ball - bet he's hit it so high it's stuck in the branches.

Wow Andy! Well done on recognising Butty from that little photo! I'm impressed. :)
