Peter got back yesterday after his whirlwind trip to New York. He saw the Empire State Building, the library that features in The Day After Tomorrow and the warehouse that features in Big, Trump Tower, Time Square and a random man dressed as Spiderman. Anni and I got I love NY t-shirts and Tom got an NYPD sweatshirt. I rather liked this photo of a ridiculous number of police cars hootling down Broadway (I think) all at once.
I've just finished reading "Rowing Without Oars", which is very thought provoking. Makes you feel incredibly thankful that you can do all sorts of ordinary things such as typing and (what I'm about to finish doing) 
cleaning the bathroom, things you might ordinarily moan about inside a bit. I found it really sad that a vicar and a chaplain came to her and neither had any real answers for her, they just waffled and gave her poetic metaphors. Anyway, I'll save the rest of my thoughts for book club.
