Peter has landed in New York. He texted me from a big yellow taxi. He slept throughout the whole flight (bet that was entertaining for his fellow passengers!) and said it felt like 10 minutes. Being able to sleep anywhere through noise and light is an amazing gift. I can't sleep through the slightest noise or chink of light but Peter (and his father and brothers) could sleep on a clothes line. Back home I had one of those mornings...Tom began his SATs today so he had requested a "hearty breakfast." He got coco pops and a cup of tea. He then announced a string of things he needed...a ruler... a transparent pencil case etc. So I rushed around finding those, whilst making the sandwiches and drying my hair. Then Anni couldn't find her shoes. (I seem to have inherited Dad's gift for finding the things nobody else can see even though they are right under their nose.) Then, when I finally left home I remembered I had no petrol...aaaargh! I arrived very last minute and launched straight into oral exams for the day.
No wonder I've had to go back and change about 6 typing errors in this...my brain is jelly.

It would have been hilarious to see (or hear) Peter sleepwalking around the plane. Hope he's having a good time over here.
