I know that summer has arrived when my daughter texts me to ask me to buy some water bombs on the way home! (I may not have known otherwise, having spent the day in a tiny office doing GCSE speaking tests, unable to open the window in case of noise.) Well, the garden is a mess anyway because our lawn mower was ruined when the newly built shed roof leaked and we are still waiting for the builder to pick it up and get it serviced. Tom did try with Mum's little lawn mower but it gave up the ghost after the little patch to the right of the above photo. So out came the water bombs and round came Abi and Chloe (the water fighting veterans.)
I have to admit that part of me wants to join in, but I'm resisting the temptation and being a sensible grown-up.
Well, not quite so sensible. The pile on the left of my desk is what I should be doing whereas the middle of my desk shows what I have been doing. How can I mark books when I'm on a card making roll? Better find out how before tomorrow...

We have a petrol lawn mower and no lawn, so Tom would be very welcome to borrow it whilst you wait for yours to be fixed.
Put Tom in a tasteless white cardie, and he could almost be a young Peter!
