Having done nothing but relax on site during our glamping trip, we decided to call into York on the way home, right after we had posed for a one year on photo at the Jollydays signpost.
We passed an art gallery where I knew they sold works by my favourite artist Paul Horton. As we walked in, I spotted none other than Paul Horton himself. Not only that, but he was there to unveil 5 new pictures and it was going to be his last public appearance for two years. What are the chances? We were offered a glass of champagne, to which one of my sils replied, "Well it would be rude not to.." and treated to a talk about the new works by the artist himself. He also signed my book for me and posed for a photo.

What a thoroughly nice guy he is too. And what a lovely way to end a perfect weekend!
