Sometimes you just have to get away with the girls. Never having had a sister of my own, I have been very blessed to have lots of lovely sils and last year 4 of us discovered the joys of going glamping together, so much so that we immediately rebooked for this year. This weekend was our second annual glamping trip to Jollydays and this time there were five of us.
We arrived to an unpacked kitchen, a set table and a dinner prepared by our hotess-with-the-mostest sil Dee. This year we had upgraded to a luxury lodge tent, which was amazing!
China plates and candles... everything a girl could ask for. The whole place is girl heaven.
This time we stayed on site the whole time, chilling, chatting, reading. It was absolute bliss. This was our "tent" set in the lovely woodland, surrounded by foxgloves.
This year, Ann had organised for us to have matching sils glamping sweatshirts made, much to my daughter's embarrassment! I can't wait for the next family gathering to embarrass her in person.
The tent at night was just beautiful, all lit by candles and lanterns and the lovely log burner.
Most splendid...we are looking forward to next year already.
