Falling Down

The snow had fallen thick and fast in the night. My snowmen now have the right backdrop! I was up at 6am to drive Peter to the station. I've been taxiing Tom and Anni round for most of the morning. In the snow.  Peter got on his train, London bound only to find someone was asleep in his seat. Then he had to sit near some builders with bad wind. To add insult to injury, his train started to smell of electrical burning. It turned out that the brakes had frozen. So he was moved on to another train, only to be ejected at Milton Keynes because the train was going no further "because of the weather", so he was left standing in the snow whilst full train whizzed by on to London, his destination. He was freezing cold, hours late, with a huge to-do list. He said he felt like Michael Douglas in Falling Down. Snow is very beautiful, when you are on the inside looking out. Just hope he gets back home again.
