I'm a little bit grumpy today, partly because I have a headache. But also because everyone in the country has had a decent snowfall and what do we get? Snow resembling a sprinkling of icing sugar and more to the point, snow that pretty much disappeared over night. No hope of school closures for us. I've had one of those days when nothing has gone quite as planned and all the children seem to have a glint of evil in their eyes.
My craft room has been taken over by marking. Worst of all, Peter rang the hopsital for an idea as to when his operation might be. Having promised to operate within a month of the mri scan in November, the surgeon said in January that it would probably be the end of February because of a shortage of beds. The appointments lady said today that she had no idea when it would be yet, only that it would have to be before MAY!!!!!!! We couldn't believe our ears. We've been mentally prepared for the end of next month, hoping he would be recovered in time for a much needed summer holiday. Understandably, Peter was fuming and expressed his feelings to the lady in charge of the waiting list. By May he will have been in agony for three and a half years. It's just inhuman. She has promised to speak to the surgeon, who has the final say. Meanwhile, the pain is getting worse and worse.

I must admit the snow down South was lovely. Big thick soft piles of the stuff, and I would have loved it except for trying to get home. Maybe we should go to Wales at the weekend as that`s where it`s meant to be. Sorry to hear about Peter. x
