A visit to Lady Heyes

It's half term and the sun is shining (not quite enough for a summer dress but almost-teenage girls won't be told!) Today Mum, Annabel and I had a girlie day out to Lady Heyes craft village near Frodsham. I am very proud of muyself for getting there and back without one wrong turn. That is in spite of my genetic affliction, otherwise known as the Grant-sense-of-direction-or-lack-thereof. Annabel celebrated with a fabulous hot chocolate, the first one she has ever drunk all of.

Mum loved the place and was rather delighted by the old fashioned sweet shop where she went mad on pick 'n' mix. Annabel was pretty pleased with it too.

We also went in the cool shop with a giant glitter ball which Peter would have loved, bingy bongy "relaxation" music and a tardis. Kooky place! I, of course, went for one of the best craft shops around here and got (amongst other things) some fabulous fairytale papers.
