We are having such a wonderful week off, spending lots of time with family. Today Helen (my sister-in-law) came over with Phebe, Ruby, Annie-Rose and Euan. Because it was such a lovely day ~ blue sky and sunshine ~ we decided to walk to the farm shop.
Since Tom and Anni were little we've been coming here: nice little shop and small café with a free play area. Little by little it has been extended and it has always been very popular. Today we were quite shocked by the number of cars there and horrified by the hoards of people. Where had they all come from. Our cosy little farm shop has become a massive tourist attraction. Furthermore, it now costs you 50p per person to enter the new play area. It has sold its soul, as it were, and become what Tom aptly named the McFarm Shop.
