Rachel & Jonny's wedding

Yesterday, Peter and I had the privilege of playing at Jonny & Rachel Wicks's wedding. And here they are, looking most splendid.
Then in the evening, we went to the evening reception at Haslington Golf Club and just had the most fun. (Don't the YP scrub up well?) The music was totally geared to my eclectic taste, which all too often goes unappreciated by others. I tried to explain to Peter that for me, listening to Donna Summer singing Love's Unkind, A crooner singing Show Me The Way To Amarillo, Slade singing Merry Christmas Everybody in September, was the level of enjoyment he experienced at the Leeds Festival.

It was lovely to see friends old and new... Jon and Mei Shan provided much of the entertainment with their spectacular dancing. They were so impressive that the crooner asked them if they had won prizes, then someone else made mention of "Strictly Come Dancing."
We even got Foulkesy and Will on the dance floor, strutting their stuff.

But for Josh and Mei Shan it was their last evening before they go off to university and although we're excited for them, we'll miss them.
