Neuigkeiten in meiner Familie

We did some familial visitations over the weekend and Anni was delighted to catch cousin Charlie awake, which meant that she got to cuddle him. He didn't seem to have any plans for sleeping either. It's great to have most of the cousins closer by now, we just need those southern ones to move back up north!
Peter finally got a date for his pre-op assessment. It's on 24th September. That was quite unexpected as we'd been told the op wouldn't be as early as October and we're guessing that a pre-op isn't any use unless it's pretty soon before an op. It's all happening.
It's strange being at work all day while the building work is going on because they seem to have made enormous progress and yet we haven't seen them. It's a bit like the elves and the shoemaker. Came home today to a fully built garden "shed" (not sure want to call it really ~ more than a shed, less than a garage....? A shedage?) Le voilĂ !
Can probably now start the mammoth task of emptying the garage. Oh joie!
