A visit to the Victory

We spent the weekend with our friends, Dave & Davina and had a fab day out to Portsmouth on Saturday. We visited the HMS Victory (well worth a visit!) and saw the spot where Lord Nelson fell (that's what the children are looking at in the second photo.) We were surprised how big the ship was and how splendidly furnished in parts. The weather was fantastic too. Tom was full of useful information too and every time I asked him, "Where did you learn that?" the answer came "Horrible Histories". So hat's off to Horrible Histories. My Dad would have been in his element. He loved Portsmouth and had often sailed from there himself in his Navy Days. I miss being able to ask which ships he'd sailed on. Mum can't remember.
We finished off a grand day out with a bbq and a round of Dave's favourite "Grease Karaoke." Why he didn't audition for Grease Is The Word will now always remain a mystery to us. Thanks for a fab weekend guys!
