Stand in a field and scream

We've both had one of those days which make you want to stand in the middle of a field and scream ...... very loudly! Peter had his pre-operative assessment today. We were happy about this because it brings the much needed surgery ever closer. Just one hour before the appointment, he had a phone call to cancel the assessment because they'd just read his notes and they couldn't consider surgery until the matter of his blackout has been resolved. Well, it has been but the consultant has ordered an ecg just to be 100% sure. We have an appointment for that next week but until we've got the results of that, the back is "on ice" so to speak. Understandable but very frustrating.
Then there were issues galore for both of us at work and mountains of paper work and things to chase, no time for lunch and a daughter with that mysterious illness known as "too-tired-after-too-many-late-nights-at-the-weekend" which leads to "anti-schoolitis". The illness is easily diagnosed by the presence of far too many symptoms (backache and a headache and sickness and achey legs) and followed by a miraculous recovery come home time. Thankfully she survived the day at school.
