Happy New Year

The fact that it has taken me until 2nd January to say that just shows how tired I am. I am too old to stay up until 3am and not bear the consequences for several days afterwards. Not revelling, I hasten to add, just cleaning and chatting after the 3rd annual Winterley karaoke party. (Incidentally, Bocaj should win the X-Factor this year based on his performance on New Year's Eve!) A new addition to the party this year was the chocolate fountain, first experienced at Tim & Marianne's wedding back in April and then appearing under the Christmas Tree this year. (Thanks Ste & Dee! xoxoxo) As you can see, it was a bit of a hit.
We've had a lovely family Christmas with no travelling for Peter and lots of chilling out watching Band of Brothers on the projector. (Have eaten too much, will join Slimming World next week.)
Also got to meet cuddly and cute new nephew Ollie for the first time.
Tom had his first YP sleepover (well, more like "play over") and promptly came home at 8.30am, was asleep in bed within 15 minutes and had to be dragged out of bed at 3.3opm.
Looking forward to next Sunday, our first church service out in the local high school, standing on the threshold of something big.
Not looking forward to going back to work. Promise myself to try and find a new job this year and write that book....
