University town

We have just spent a couple of nights in Edinburgh, where Tom hopes to study this Autumn. He hadn't been since he was a little boy. He loved it. We arrived in time to go to the evening service at what seems like a really good church and then went for dinner at the World's End, which Peter and I had discovered on our last visit to the city. Haggis, neeps and tatties again for me.
We managed to locate the offices of the Russian department and get a feel for the student area. There we discovered an amazing place for a delicious brunch in funky surroundings, called Olly Bongos cafe. I think Tom might be popping back there a few times!
Tom and I managed to persuade Peter and Anni to climb up Arthur's seat, at the top of which he sat and surveyed the breathtaking view over the city that may become his future home, at least for a few years.
From here you can see the Scott monument, which Peter and I climbed to the very top of last time (Anni doesn't believe this).
It was nice to be able to spend some time at the top and still be able to feel your fingers, unlike last time we did it.
We are excited for Tom, this place feels just right for him. I am certainly looking forward to visiting him here on many occasions, God willing.
