Our nephew Pierre celebrated his second birthday on Saturday at his Aunty Helen's house. He had two rather splendid (and very delicious) birthday cakes and lots of little cousins on hand to help him to eat them, and all the sweets surrounding them. I love family gatherings and one of my favourite things about them is watching the cousins interact with one another. The Qatar contingent are here for the Easter break and so Max was able to offer some help with the present opening.
It was really lovely to see Ally, who has now joined the family Nikon brigade.
It is always an absolute pleasure to hang out with my sils (3 missing here). It is also handy to have my mil and fil's house at the other end of the garden so that we could move the party there later.
