I would like 2011 to be the year of the homemade.

In 2010 I made my first ever Christmas cake and this was it. Far from perfect but not half bad for a first attempt.

Anni got a sewing machine for Christmas and this was her first project; a Cath Kidston bag made from a Cath Kidston pattern book which was her Christmas gift from Tom.

I am very impressed with her and am hoping she is going to make me lots of lovely things now. Some of my favourite Christmas presents were homemade by my sil Gilly. She made us this incredibly cute mini Christmas tree...

..and a beautiful garland of hearts and gingerbread men. Love them! Thank you so much Gilly xx
