A while ago, I was chatting with my sils and we decided to have a sils' weekend away. We came across the idea of glamping (glamorous camping) and stumbled upon a wonderful place called Jollydays, in Buttercrambe Wood, Yorkshire. We had been so excited about this and finally the weekend arrived on Friday, when Peter's sisters Ann and Judith and his brother's wife Dee and I all set off for sunny Yorkshire for a man free, child free, football free, blissful girlie break. Jollydays did not disappoint. As we stepped out of the car we breathed in the beautiful aroma of natural woodland and fekt instantly relaxed.
This was our little area, our bell tent, with cook shed and picnic area. Dee was incredibly organised and had made pasta for our evening meal and done all the food shopping for us. We even got specially folded napkins! As we sat to eat on the decking area by our cook shed, it truly was glamorous camping.
Even the wash rooms were pretty; just look at the Cath Kidston oilcloth skirting around the sink.
At night the reception area twinkles with fairy lights to guide your path
We made the most of the chance to chillax and spent a leisurely Saturday morning reading in bed. Easy living indeed! Almost as soon as I had arrived I was thinking about when I could come back to this wonderful place again. Of course it wasn't just the place, it was the wonderful company of my sils too. We'll definitely be doing this again.
