Just lately the children seem to be off doing their own thing a lot more and we've suddenly had a taste of what life will probably be like when they both go off to university. Last evening I allowed myself a night off YP and went out for dinner with Peter and both Tom and Anni were sleeping at friends' houses. We had a lovely evening. The only thing was that when we came home, we sat down to watch a chat show and both nodded off on the sofa before the first interview.
Today I had a bit of a lie in. Tom went off to visit his girlfriend and then I had my hair done after which we hit the Trafford Centre. And lo and behold, my fave artist, Paul Horton, was in one of the shops at a gallery opening. I couldn't believe my eyes. This is another of my fave pieces of his work.
We covered the whole centre looking either for a new outfit for Hannah and Nathan's wedding next weekend, or a shrug to wear with either of two dresses I already have and ended up with a shrug from the first shop we went into. We rounded the day off with an Indian take away at Glen and Julia's when we collected Anni. Trouble is, I haven't had time to clean the house.....
Also, I've changed the name of my blog, courtesy of Ione, but for some reason, it won't accept the change. Grrr!
